I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities at the hostel. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the town centre. Check-in was a breeze, even though the owners weren't present. The beds were comfortable, and I appreciated the chargers and lights next to each bed. The house had plenty of areas to relax and unwind, and I loved the handy information leaflets and recommendations provided. The cleanliness of the room and facilities was top-notch.
One minor drawback was the limited wifi access. The code for the online access wasn't working, and the signal was only available in the recreational room and lobby.

We had the best stay at this hostel! The location was perfect, just a short walk from the high street with its pubs, restaurants, bakeries, and shops. It felt safe and secluded, yet still convenient. The building itself was charming and had a historic feel, with cleverly converted stables. We enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of waves breaking on the nearby beach and waking up to birdsong. The hostel had great facilities, including a large kitchen and a choice of indoor and outdoor dining areas. The staff, especially Jess, were incredibly helpful and made sure our room was comfortable and cozy. We also loved the homely and vintage vibe of the place, with special touches like extra blankets and towels provided without asking. a unique and delightful experience!
Nothing that we didn't like.

We had a fantastic experience staying at this accommodation. the kitchen was fully equipped and perfect for cooking during our stay. the water in the showers had a good mix of hot and cold and the pressure was just right. We also received a free upgrade to a spacious room suitable for a family of four. the shared showers and toilets were easily accessible and the kitchen and dining area were great. We appreciated the requirement for everyone to clean up after themselves, which helped keep the accommodation price down. the host was extremely helpful and provided us with recommendations on places to visit in the area. The communication with Jess was excellent, even though we arrived past reception time. Cons: Nothing, it was perfect! 😊.

I stayed at this charming hostel for one night during my great ocean road trip. The facilities were fantastic, and the town centre was easily accessible on foot. The check-in process was straightforward, even when the owners were not on-site. The old homestead building had a lot of charm, and the garden out back with outdoor seating was a lovely place to relax. The hostel attracted a quiet and nature-loving crowd. The bathrooms were clean, and the hostel had good recycling and eco-friendly policies. My room in the old servant quarters felt private, and the spacious and bright kitchen was a joy to cook in. The hosts were friendly and remembered my name. The location was perfect, just around the corner from the supermarket and cafes, and an easy walk to the beaches.
Recommend this hostel.

I must say, the value for money at this hostel was spot on. The room was cozy and comfortable, even though the beds were a bit short for us tall folks. The location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from the shops, restaurants, and the beautiful ocean and river. But what really made our stay memorable was the incredible staff. Jess went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, giving us helpful tips about the surrounding attractions and even arranging a backup taxi contact in case we missed the bus. Truly marvellous service.
When it comes to breakfast offerings, it would have been nice to have a wider variety of options.

the staff were super helpful, and the facilities were just what we needed for traveling with a young child. the kitchen was well stocked, and the bedroom was large and comfortable. the YHA is housed in an interesting heritage building. It's located in an excellent spot, just a block away from the river and the shopping strip. Port Fairy itself is a beautiful sleepy town, making it a great mellow stop along the GOR. We even had excellent wifi in our apartment, which was a pleasant surprise. Cons: Was all great! 😊.

The hostel had a unique and charming vintage vibe, which made it stand out from other places we've stayed. the room was cozy and comfortable, and we appreciated the extra touches like hot water bottles and towels provided without having to ask. the kitchen was clean and well-equipped, making it easy to cook our own meals. the location was great, perfect for anyone exploring the area or traveling along the Great Ocean Road.
The soundproofing in the hostel was seriously lacking, with thin walls that made it impossible to sleep when other guests were walking or talking. the lack of Wi-Fi or cellular data in our room was a major inconvenience.
